Chloe + Andrew Engagement

“Sometimes you meet a person and you just click - you’re comfortable with them, and you don’t have to pretend to be anyone or anything”

I love it when I meet my clients for the first time in person and we just click. When Chloe and Andrew came by for their engagement session, even though the last and only time we have heard or seen each other was over Skype was in May almost six months ago, I felt like we just clicked. They got out of their car and I came down my stairs and greeted them excitedly with hugs. My parents happened to be out in the yard (we’re neighbors) and after I got home they asked if I had known them for a long time because it just seemed like we were old friends.

These people who were total strangers before hiring me for their wedding become life long friends. That’s what I want in my clients, for them to become friends. I’ve had people ask my couples at their wedding if they hired a friend as their photographer, and in a way they say yes because by that point we are friends, and that’s my favorite part.

I can tell it’s going to be that way with these two. Chloe and Andrew have a wonderful energy about them, they are fun and sweet and a joy to be around. Our session was an adventure, they were up for anything, even when I had them climb steep hills and stand between strange tall plants or climb up onto a log surrounded by beautiful but sticky burrs, they were all in and happy about it! I’m so glad they found me and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in July!
