Jessica and Dillon had the coolest golf themed wedding I have ever seen.
Granted it was the first golf themed wedding I have ever shot, but it was amazing!
They had awesome personal details all over the place! I loved seeing their engagement photos everywhere and their names and fun little things were on everything! They just incorporated so many personal details and things into their day which is my favorite!
They had their ceremony in Jessica’s parent’s backyard at Dalton, which is just in range of one of Dalton Golf Course’s greens! Which will be important to remember in a moment.
The girls were getting ready inside the house while the boys got ready at the club house, and everyone was just having such a fun time hanging out and getting ready. The girls were taking Polaroid photos and had all the cute little prints laid out on a table, and Liz Hemminger ( with ReyLynn’s) did an amazing job with the girl’s hair and makeup. The guys had shots and played a little pool (and were totally ready when I arrived for their photos!) And everyone was just stoked for the day!
Jessica looked amazing in her dress from Bri’s Bridal, and the guys looked amazing in their tuxes from Katerina’s Darling Bridal! I love when couples use so many local vendors!
The ceremony was beautiful, the officiant was the Dillon's father so the ceremony had some wonderful personal details in it! Jessica even got a little emotional during her vows, which sounds normal unless you know Jessica and the fact that she does not get emotional very often! So it tugged my heart strings seeing her get so emotional talking about her love for Dillon.
After the ceremony was just about wrapped up, Jessica and Dillon both went right behind the ceremony arch and hit a few golf balls onto the green I mentioned before. I thought it was so cool that they could do that right there at the ceremony site!
Even family photos had so much meaning and personal details incorporated into them. Jessica had a sister that passed away very young, and Dillon’s mother passed away when he was younger. So they incorporated photos of the two into their family photos, holding the frames and smiling making it feel like there were really there to take the photos with them. I thought that was a really great way to incorporate loved ones who have passed on into their day.
Once all the formal photos wrapped up, Jessica and Dillon hopped in their decked out wedding golf cart and took a little drive over to the reception at Dalton’s Club House.
I had to race over there to capture their arrival along with all their guests! It was so fun seeing them drive over a cute little bridge to all their cheering friends and family.
There were more fun golf details at the reception, they had cute little tees at all the tables with their names and wedding date on them. Their cake was amazing, Jocelyn Skill with Skillfully Decadent does such amazing work! My favorite detail of their cake was that there were two golf balls incorporated into the little greens and sand traps on top of the cake. One ball was close to the hole, and one was in the sand trap. I took a tiny poll asking around about which ball belonged to who, and overwhelmingly everyone said the one in the sand trap must be Dillon’s haha.
The reception was so fun, with such an amazing view of the beautiful golf course backdropped by mountains. Everyone just seemed to be having such a fun time the whole night. Between beautiful toasts, touching first dances, hilarious bouquet and garter tosses the night was a resounding success!
I will admit there was one scary moment near the end of my time where we thought the groom had lost his ring, but everyone pitched in to look, continued dancing with their phone flashlights to the ground and the ring was eventually found! Yay!
It was just such a great, fun, beautiful day.
Congratulations Jessica and Dillon on getting to golf together for the rest of your days!
