  • Gyana Bundy Fun Headshot Session

Gyana won a free fall portrait session from me and chose to use it for some new head shots. We decided to take a combination of traditional close up head shots and some just for fun creative images! She was up for anything, which made our day together sooo fun!

  • Becca and Milo - Furbaby Fun!

Durango is a DOG town, there is no denying that. I don't have a dog of my own, but so many friends have dogs I feel like I actually have many. I love capturing the bond between human and dog best friend. And aren't Becca and Milo just so adorable together? I think it is so important to capture your relationship with your furbabies, since we don't have the luxury of having them around as long as we'd ever like. I know many people who would love to have images like these to look back on.

  • Aerial Goddess Vanessa Sirois

If you keep up with the Durango aerialist scene you've probably seen the crazy skills of Vanessa Sirois. She is amazingly talented, and gorgeous on top of that! I cannot not express how lucky I feel to have gotten to take part in this creative exciting photoshoot. Vanessa hung high above the river from a bridge for a significant amount of time, without any kind of harness, while I tried to scramble about in the cold river to find the best angles to capture her performance. The photos speak for themselves, this is one incredible woman!

  • Ashley Casey - Fall and Fashion

Ashley is a friend from my Up with People cast, I met her on the road and travelled with her for six months. Up with People is a program of young people from all over the world, and it just so happened that Ashley from Farmington and I from Durango ended up in the same cast! Soon after we returned from our tour, I reached out to Ashley for a fun photoshoot, having a cast mate around helps a lot with the transition process back into normal life. It also helps for photoshoots when your friend is drop dead #modelstatus can't wait for our next shoot!

  • Shaline Family Portraits

Most often I schedule portrait sessions weeks if not months in advance. However sometimes a spontaneous scheduled shoot just magically comes together and it is awesome. I have known the Shaline's all my life, and one Wednesday night at a dinner with friends, Di Shaline asked me about doing their family portraits that coming Sunday. Their children Brendan and Maddie would both be home, but only for that one day. Brendan was getting in that morning and Maddie was leaving the next. I was available so we made a plan for that Sunday afternoon! Then it looked like it was going to rain, and since this was the only day possible, rescheduling wouldn't be an option. This being Durango, I said we should try to do it, if it started raining we could stop. It didn't rain! It rained before and after but not during the shoot! We all had a great time, the light was great, it wasn't too cold, and the photos turned out beautiful!

  • Ally & Robert Engagement

This adorable couple made this rainy day so cozy and fun. I loved just giving them space to be with each other and capture those authentic moments. The look in Robert's eyes when he looks at Ally is just heart melting.

  • Tori & David Engagement

I love the fall, and it was so fun exploring the colors with these two. They brought along their Broncos jerseys that fit right in with the bright colorful leaves. Thanks for running up mountains with me guys!

  • Maddie & Eddie Engagement

What is more fun than frolicking around in the mountains with a couple of wonderful goofballs? Not much. I had so much fun shooting with Maddie and Eddie, they were so entertaining and silly. I loved watching them cuddle and giggle and love on each other all day, so adorable.

  • A Miraculous Couple, A Miraculous Wedding Day

I have known Erin (the bride) for as long as I can remember, and I graduated from high school with Gus )the groom). You would think that would be enough to make this day a memorable one, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. In 2015, while driving home from another friend's wedding, Erin and Gus got into an accident between Durango and Silverton. Gus came out of it relatively uninjured, but Erin had to be air lifted to Farmington where they had to perform emergency surgery. It was really scary there for a while, she had quite a bit of damage to her head and we weren't really sure if she was going to make it. After getting through the scariest times in Farmington she was moved to Denver where she was admitted to one of the top rehabilitation centers. There she began to relearn how to walk and talk and be herself again. It was a long journey, but they had so much support. Gus was there every tiny inch of the way. He would drive up to Denver weekly to be with Erin and support her family. He was 100% dedicated, and never gave up on her even for a second. He stuck by her side as she relearned how to communicate and function in every day life. One thing to know about Erin is she has always been tough, always been feisty and resilient, and she was so strong and fought so hard through this whole process. That was only three years ago. Her recovery was miraculous. And so when she was ready, Gus proposed, and she said yes. Talk about crying through my whole editing process!!! These guys are so amazing, their ceremony was full of love and laughs and personal touches. The air was buzzing with emotion. Everyone there knew what this couple had gone through to get here, and you could feel the magic of their connection. There is just so much to say about this couple, about this day, but I feel like the video portrays it all better than I can with words. If you normally just watch teasers and can't get through a whole wedding video that isn't your own, this is one to sit down and watch. Their story is amazing. • Chelsea Johnson - Fun at the Fair

I love when the fair comes to town! I don't really care that it is overpriced, or that they set it up so quickly, or that the games are all rigged. The fair is childhood! And now the fair is also a beautiful fun location set up a few times a year to use as a wonderful backdrop! Who wants to come shoot with me next time the fair comes to town? Maybe a night shoot when the lights are all lit up and spinning around!!! Let's do it.

  • Katerina Senior Portraits - Skis in the Summer

I actually shot these images of Katerina a long time ago, back in an era of my work that I don't always like to show anymore because my editing has changed so much and my equipment is way better now. However, I still LOVE these shots of Katerina, so I just have to share them. Kat had her senior portraits done at the same time as her brother, I got her brother Parker's photos all wrapped up just in time for Kat to have finished her hair and driven up to Dante's at Purgatory. She brought her skis, which I loved! It is so fun when a client brings a. prop that is so meaningful to them and really helps show a part of their personality. We had so much fun wandering around the mountain finding all these beautiful areas to fit with her different styles.
